Unlock the potential of big data in your research: strategic opportunities in 2018

The Canadian Institute of Health Research and Genome Canada currently present a number of exciting strategic funding opportunities to solve complex research problems in the fields of health and genome.
These complex research problems include better understanding how the complex human microbiome impacts human health (see Canadian Microbiome Initiative 2), discovering ways to better manage data in the health care system across Canada (see SPOR National Data Platform), and better methods to interpret large and complex genomic data (see Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Competition) across all human health, agriculture, aquaculture/fisheries, forestry, energy and mining sectors.
These exciting opportunities call for the powerful data tools and resources available to you from SFU’s Big Data Hub. SFU is a recognized leader in big data, and the home of Canada’s fastest supercomputer. By leveraging on SFU’s incredible data resources, applicants can gain a formidable advantage when applying for these strategic funding opportunities.
Below are more details about these funding opportunities, and how SFU’s Big Data Hub can help.
