PICS Theme Partnership Program Information Session, and NSERC Office Hours, January 2019

PICS Theme Partnership Program – SFU Information Session Jan 9
The Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) will be hosting an information session for the Theme Partnership Program:
When: January 9, 2019 at 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Where: Halpern Centre, room 126, SFU Burnaby Campus
This session will also be webcast live.
PICS Executive Director Sybil Seitzinger will present a brief overview of the call for proposals under the Theme Partnership Program followed by a question and answer period. Following the presentation, faculty and potential partners can also arrange a time to meet to discuss additional queries. To arrange a meeting please contact PICS SFU Program Manager Nastenka Calle at n_calle@sfu.ca.
The Theme Partnership Program supports research proposals that connect top researchers with policy and industry leaders to develop climate change solutions for British Columbia and beyond.
NSERC Office Hours
Megan Griffith from the NSERC Pacific Regional Office will be hosting office hours at SFU campus every month.
Megan is responsible for NSERC’s Experience Award, Connect Grants Levels 1 through 3, and is familiar with the ins and outs of Engage, Engage Plus, and all of NSERC’s Research Partnerships. If you are interested in collaborating with industry, Megan can help you get started, and provide advice on how to reach out to companies and put together a successful application.
Megan's office hours will be on the following days this month:
SFU Surrey Campus (SRY3066): January 17, 2019, 10am to 4pm
SFU Burnaby Campus (Discovery 2 Room 231): January 24, 2019, 10am to 4pm
