Connection Grants
SSHRC (Social Science & Humanities Research Council)
Deadline: May 1, 2019
Connection Grants (amounts from $7,000 to $25,000) support workshops, colloquiums, conferences, forums, summer institutes or other events or outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives.  Applications may be submitted by institutions (e.g., university led events) or individual applicants and teams. This is a 2:1 matching fund opportunity (SSHRC:entity match).

Killam Research Fellowships
Canada Council for the Arts
Deadline: May 15, 2019
Release time awards for active Canadian scholars who have made a significant and remarkable contribution to their respective fields in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences or engineering.

Genomics in Society Interdisciplinary Research Teams
Genome BC
Deadline: May 30, 2019
This program aims to bring researchers from different disciplines together to investigate factors affecting the advancement, adoption, evaluation and governance of genomics research and address issues at the intersection of genomics and society that will ultimately contribute to Canada’s leadership and social and/or economic benefits in various sectors.

SFU/SSHRC Small Research Grants // Spring Intake
Simon Fraser University (SFU)

SSHRC Institutional Grants/SFU Grants support scholarly research in the contemporary arts, humanities and social sciences for expenses up to a maximum of $7,000. A lead applicant, together with one or more eligible co-applicants may apply in a single application for up to $10,000.


Partnership Engage Grants
SSHRC (Social Science & Humanities Research Council)
Deadline: June 17, 2019
The small-scale, stakeholder-driven partnerships supported through the Partnership Engage Grants are meant to respond to immediate needs and time constraints facing organizations in non-academic sectors. There are 4 application deadlines throughout the year (Mar 15, Jun 15, Sept 15, and Dec 15).  The grants are valued at $7,000 to $25,000 over one year.
