Improving Bowel and/or Bladder Function after SCI

The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation is now accepting application material requests for its new funding opportunity in the area of bowel and/or bladder translational research. This Request for Applications (RFA) is designated for research to advance methods to restore, replace or provide reliable gastrointestinal and/or urodynamic function following SCI.
Interested applicants must email the Program Officer to request application materials by Friday, March 1, 2019. Such a request does not constitute a commitment to submit a full grant application in response to this RFA. Application materials will be distributed on Friday, March 1, 2019 via proposalCENTRAL when the RFA opens. Eligible organizations conducting research in this field and aim to advance novel approaches to improving function and developing curative therapies after SCI are encouraged to apply.
Award amount and duration in this competitive RFA will be commensurate with the proposed research objectives and timeline. Applications may focus on a single aspect of SCI bowel or bladder dysfunction or may address multiple aspects of one or both systems. Eligible applications may include modeling, preclinical, clinical, or a combination of these research approaches.
