Translational Research Partnership Program

The Translational Research Partnership Program supports collaborative projects in cancer research to help accelerate the development of new treatments and/or technologies for the benefit of patients. The projects must be translational research (may include clinical trials) focused on developing therapeutic and/or novel technologies, and must be supported by excellent preliminary data. Basic research projects are not considered.
A maximum of $1,500,000 over up to 3 years per project of which up to 50% may come from the Cancer Research Society
Eligibility: All applicants and co-applicants must hold an academic appointment at a Canadian university or accredited research institutions. The research team must consist of at least one principal investigator and one co-investigator.
2-stage application process (no deadlines)
Letter of Intent (Mandatory). No SFU signature sheet required at this stage. Applicants are encouraged to contact Lynda Adam at Cancer Research Society (Partnerships@src-crs.ca) to discuss application.
Full Application. SFU signature sheet, Disclaimer and Indemnity Form signature page (to be signed by ORS), and copy of full application are due to ors@sfu.ca no later 3 business days before your intention to submit full application to agency. Note that ORS is required to obtain indemnity approval before application can be submitted to agency. Overhead is 0%. Applicant (not ORS) will need to submit application form directly to agency.
