2019 CIHR-ICRH/CAAIF/AZ Canada/AllerGen Emerging Researcher Awards in Allergic Asthma

The goal of the CIHR-ICRH/CAAIF/AZ Canada/AllerGen Emerging Researcher Awards in Allergic Asthma is to enable Canadian allergists, clinical immunologists, MD clinician scientists, and basic scientists working in translational research to pursue academic research in allergic asthma.
There are two streams for this competition each with a value of $200,000 over two years:
- Clinician-Scientists (MD, MD-PhD only) who have completed sub-specialty training in Clinical Immunology and Allergy (1 award funded by CAAIF and AstraZeneca)
- Basic scientist (PhD or equivalent) performing translational research in allergic asthma in collaboration with a clinician-scientist (1 award funded by CIHR-ICRH)
Eligibility: Nominated Principal Applicant must be an independent researcher, appointed at an eligible institution, and be an early-career clinician scientists within 60 months of their first academic appointment. Please visit the agency website for more information.
