Safeguarding Science Workshop

It is a first of its kind where biological, chemical and nuclear material is discussed to be a threat of posing a potential security risk to institutions .
Public Safety Canada (PS) , the Centre for Biosecurity at the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), and other federal partners have developed a security awareness workshop to research institutions and laboratories to promote an understanding of biological, chemical, radiological and nuclear risks, as well as awareness of potential misappropriation and/or proliferation risks of dual technology.
A delegation of 7 Federal Government delegates will visit SFU next Wednesday, March 27, 2019 to present this workshop.
